Easter At Riverview - 2013

Well, it's that time of year again: pastels, chocolate bunnies, "best" Sunday outfits, and probably an amazing brunch at Grandma's.

Yes, I'm talking about Easter.

We love Easter for so many reasons!  It happens to come right in the middle of Spring Break, it signals a time shift, where we have more sunlight during the day, which means Summer Break is not too far off!

But of course, Easter also has deeper meaning than chocolate bunnies and Easter eggs.  It's the day we remember that God's power is bigger than any of our problems: bigger than our trouble at work, problems at home, issues with our finances (or lack thereof).  We celebrate Easter, because we're reminded that God's power is even bigger than death...because Easter is the day when Jesus, by God's power, raised from the dead!  And if God can raise someone from the dead, He can certainly raise us above the trials and challenges we're currently facing.

That's why Easter is the one Sunday we celebrate more than any other one!  And I'm inviting you to join me that day!

Because Easter is supposed to be a celebration, we're going to celebrate it BIG at Riverview that day.  The coffee will be hot, the music is gonna be loud, the whole atmosphere is gonna be bright and fun!  The little kids will have a traditional Easter Egg hunt, and the bigger kids are going on an Easter Egg "Rescue Mission", and afterwards they'll learn that the reason Jesus came down from Heaven to Earth, was because He was on a rescue mission for us.  Most of all, you'll hear an inspiring message about the God who loves you (no matter what), and the plans He has for your life.

And the great news is, the service will be about 55 minutes in length, which means you won't late for brunch with Grandma!

Services are  on Sunday, March 31st at 9am & 10:30am
We will meet at Cajon Park School (10300 N. Magnolia Ave. in Santee)

See you there!
