Riverview's November Re-Cap

November was a great month for Riverview!

I had the privilege of standing up with some families that are very important to me, and dedicating their children to the Lord (Actually, that was back in October, but who’s keeping track???).  This dedication was a little more special than they usually are, because I got to dedicate my niece, Michaela Rose!

Ravens' President, Amanda Patton-Polizzi,
receiving an award from
Rob Mcnelis & Brian Jones.
Another weekend very special to me was our first ever “Santee Ravens Day”!  Because part of Riverview’s purpose to “Live Generously” with our time and talent, and by that I mean, serving our community, it makes sense that we would honor those who are trying to serve our community also!  So I invited the Board and Head Coaches of Santee RavensFootball & Cheer to come on a Sunday in November and let our Church publicly thank them for all their hard work!  There was more than one emotional moment for me, watching my friends and colleagues be honored by (not just Riverview) our Vice-Mayor, Rob McNelis, and our State Assemblyman, Brian Jones.

We also got to hear from a good friend of mine )from back in my college days) come and speak, Neil Schultz.  Neil and his family are in-between ministry assignments, and have actually been consulting our Church for the last several weeks, on how to get to the “next level” as a Church.  You can hear Neil’s message here.

Rounding out the month, Nicholai, our Middle School Pastor, spoke, and wrapped up our #thankful series.  Since it was Thanksgiving weekend, you might not have gotten to hear Nich’s message first hand.  You can go to our podcast page, and download it now.

December is right around the corner, which means Christmas is right around the corner.  Which means I need to get started on my Christmas shopping right about NOW!

Don’t forget: We start our new series this Sunday, “ChristmasConspiracy”!  Today is a great day to invite someone to join you at Riverview this weekend!
